Welcome to Macabee Knives I started smithing about 15 years ago. Thanks to a desire for banging on metal and a patient teacher I managed to learn some tool skills.

You will find that all of the knives in these pages are one of a kind. Each knife is hand made by either forging or by stock removal. I only use high carbon steels for my knives such as O-1, 1095, 5160. I also hand forge my Damascus and cable Damascus steels. The handles are made from a variety of materials such as bone, natural and laminated woods, poly-resins and ancient ivory.
