The Tattershall-Thorpe Seax is based on an 8th century Anglo-Saxon find at Tattershall Thorpe, Lincolnshire. The blade is forged from 1095 high carbon steel. The blade has differently hardened with a clay coating. The handle is made with stag and brass. 
The overall length is 14" The  blade length 9" long and is 1" wide. 



The Green Seax is forged to shape from 1095 high carbon steel. I did a diferential tempered with a clay coating and a 1500 grit hand rubbed polish to bring out the hamon (temper line.) The handle material is dyed and stabilized camel bone with brass pins.
The overall length is 12" with a blade length of 7-1/2" and a width of 1-3/8"

This little Persian style blade is forged to shape from 5160 spring steel. The handle is Honduran rosewood and the bullseye mosaic pins are copper and brass. The over all length is 6-1/2". The blade length is 3-1/2"


The Tactical Fighter is forged to shape from 1087 high carbon steel the handle is wrapped with para-cord. The overall length is 11-1/2" long. The blade length is 7" long and the blade width is an 1-1/2" Comes with a molded kydex sheath.
This Persian style dagger is ground from 1070 tool steel with a Purple hard wood grip and brass pins. The over all length is 8-1/4" with a blade length of 4"


 

This broken back style seax is forged to shape from 5160 spring steel and hand polished with stones. The handle is Honduran rose wood with a liner of fiber spacer material and brass mosaic pins. The overall length is 14-1/2" The blade length is 9-1/2" and 1-1/2 inches wide.



My Persian Style Fighter is forged to shape from 5160 spring steel and flat ground. The handle is Honduran rose wood with a liner of fiber spacer material. The pins are brass mosaic.
The blade is 7"long with an over all length of 13" 


This Korambit was forged to shape then flat ground  from 5160 spring steel. The handle is made from purple heart wood and brass rivets. The overall length along the back curve of the knife measures 15-1/2" and the blade length is 10". The overall length measured straight across is 12-1/2" and the blade length is 7-1/2". The sharpened back edge is 4-1/2" long and the width is 1-5/16" The spine is 1/4" thick.


This little 3 finger skinner is ground from O-1 tool steel. The handle is made from Micarta and the tube pins and guard are brass. The overall length is 6" with a blade length of 2-3/4" The sheath comes equipped with a belt clip.
The scales on this little O-1 tool steel skinner are imitation mother of pearl held in place by small mosaic pins. The blade is  5 inches of 0-1 tool steel.

This Sombar Stag Seax  is forged from 1087 with Mokomae fittings forged from quarters and a mild steel rivet. The overall length is 10 inches with a 6 inch blade length.

This forge finished Seax  is forged to shape from 5160 spring steel . The guard and end cap are textured pewter which was poured right onto and through the textured and dyed bone handle.  The full hardened blade is 10" long is 1"wide The overall length is 16-3/4".

 

This Cocbolo Camp Knife is forged to shape from a roto-tiller tine. It's overall length  is 12 1/2 inches with a 7 inch blade. This is some of the toughest steel I've ever tried to put an edge on. Once there it's durable as hell.

This cord wrapped shop knife is forged from 5160. The blade is forged to shape from 5160. The blade is 3" long  3/4" wide and has an overall length of  8-1/2".

This micarta handled 3 fingered skinner is has small mosaic pins and an overall length of 5-1/2 inches of 0-1 tool steel.

These 3 fingered paduak handled skinners are forged from O-1 tool steel. The overall length on the top knife is 6 1/2 inches with a blade length of 3 1/2 inches. The bottom knife has an overall length of 6 inches with a blade length of 3 inches.
The Fossil Seax is 10" long with a blade length of 5 1/4". The blade is forged and flat ground from O-1 tool steel. The grip is shaped from a piece of  fossilized Stellar's sea cow rib. The fittings are brass fittings.

 

The Ring Pommel Seax is forged from O-1 with a cocobolo grip and brass pins. The overall length is 11 1/2" and has a blade length of 6 1/2"

I forged this 1087 blade in my one brick forge at an SCA event In the Shire of Mugmort. I have offered to donate 1/3 of the profit to The Barony of The Middle Marches. The overall length is 8 1/2 inches the handle is 4 inches. The handle is Cocobolo with steel and brass pins.

Cable Damascus seax with very fine pattern handles are tulip wood.

 

Here is yet another variation on the Seax with steel pins and a purple heart wood handle. The overall length is 13 1/2 inches with a 9 inch blade. The blade is forged from the other 1/2 of  the lug wrench that the thorn & rose was made from. The steel sparks 5160. 

Here is another Iron Age Seax I just finished. The steel is the blade is just over 9.5 inches of tough as hell L-6. The over all length is 15 inches. The grip is purple heart wood with 5160 pins. These curved grip blades have an interesting feel to them. They fit the hand perfectly especially if you hold the bottom of the grip sitting on your fingers instead of palm and your thumb is resting on the spine.

The curved handle seax fits the hand very well for cutting. I originally thought that the grip was 2 small but it fit's perfectly. The blade is forged O-1 and the handle is tulipwood. The overall length is 9 3/4" and the blade length is 5"

This curved 3 finger skinner reminded me of rhinoceros beetle. The blade is ground from 1087 spring steel. It sports a canvas micarta grip with brass rivets. The overall length is 6 1-2" with a blade length of 3".

This Le Tene Period Celtic Style blade is forged 5160 with died camel bone and rawhide for the grip. The grip is not riveted but is attached with rawhide. The blade length is 12" with an overall length is 19 1/4".

Here is a Damascus seax forged from bandsaw blade and strapping iron. It has mokumae fittings similar to the bracelet that is resting on the red oak grip.
